Prison Break, and K-Ville

Tonight marks the beginning (as far as I know) of new TV shows. At 7 CST we have Prison Break, currently on season 3, which is kind of bad when you consider it should have ended at season 1. I really liked this show when it came out - but frankly - they are just pushing this show too far. I'll watch it - but most likely with quite a bit of fast forwarding.

After Prison Break comes K-Ville. This show doesn't look that great, but as it is set in New Orleans (I live in Lafayette, LA), I'm curious to see how well they pull off the 'real' feel of the city. Normally Louisiana is not very well represented in the media. We are either all drunk off our asses at Mardi Gras, or shown as being voodoo worshipers.

Russ Johnson's Gravatar I grew tired of Prison Break 2 seasons ago and stopped watching.. too drawn out for me.

I was pretty excited about K-Ville though. I like Anthony Andersen. For the most part it was pretty good. It doesnt rank up there with Jericho, Lost or Heroes for me, but it wasnt a bad pilot. Im pretty interested to see where they take the show. It was enough to keep me watching.

Scott P's Gravatar Yeah - the cool part was seeing how well planned out the escape was and how he navigated the internal politics of being in prison. That was a series that you couldn't wait until the next week to find out what happened. I'm still watching it but to say "jumped the shark" would be an understatement.

Will they ever learn that we don't mind a one, two, or three year series that has a plan to last that long. The only thing worse that a series that ends before the story is told is one that keeps going after the end.

Shane Zehnder's Gravatar Well, I live in Biloxi, so New Orleans is like a home away from home for me, but I still could not bring myself to watch K-Ville.
Did they actually manage to pull it off?

Raymond Camden's Gravatar I've got family in - so I'm a bit behind on my DVR. I watched the skins last night since my dad is a big fan. I'll probably watch it tomorrow.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Well, I watched Prison Break. I guess I'm happy they are back in a prison - but I'm not sure if I'll make it to the end of the season.

Scott P's Gravatar The show is actually moving in an interesting direction. Think about this, the government group that set linc up arranged for everyone to be in Panama and to end up at Sona. They set them up to use Michael's skills and intellect to break Whistler out for them.

That said - my prediction is an early exit for the series. I'll be surprised if it makes it through a full season.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Well, K-Ville was absolutely horrible. Very cliche. I won't be watching that again.

Shane Zehnder's Gravatar Well, I was hoping it would be better. I haven't heard ANY good things about K-Ville.
