Is Battlestar Galactica Magical?
Well of course it is! But seriously - what I mean is - like Lost, are we in a world where magic (or religion, whatever) rules, or will everything have a technical explanation? We all saw Starbuck blow up - but you possibly could squeeze out some of kind of technical way for her to get out (transporters?), but with the all the mysticism in the show, I'm learning more towards a "magic" answer. That's not necessarily bad of course, but it does open the door for possible endings quite a bit.
And this is a minor thing - but why was Starbuck's ship rebuilt? It seems like a minor detail, but they made a big deal out of it.
Oh - and how many people think the Hybrid in Razor was right about Starbuck leading everyone to their death? I don't think he said death precisely - something more vague like their "end", but that could have multiple meanings. It could be the end of their civilization as they know it, but not a physical death.
As for them making a bg deal out of the ship, I feel the same way. if ti was the Cylons who sent her back, wouldn't they make an effort to 'break in' the ship a bit?
If .... someone else did... well... who knows.
Btw - did we ever get an answer from a LONG TIME ago about the 'virus' that killed Cylons? It wasn't Colonial.
Part of me still sees an ending where Colonials/Cylons get to Earth and encounter bad guys so terrible they have to work together. (The Borg! Just kidding. ;)
Another site I visit is running weekly interviews with Mark Verheiden, co-executive producer. Check the 1st installment out. http://www.comicmix.com/news/2008/04/08/battlestar... It's a cool free online comics site with good opinion pieces.
